Frequently Asked Questions:

1)  What is a "Power of Three" Breeding?

        The "Power of Three" stands for Good Minds, Good Movement and Good Marketability--the three traits the AGM offspring have.   In a "Power of Three" breeding, three TOTAL friends, neighbors, enemies, breeders, business associates, trainers, etc. get together and decide to breed to A Good Machine.  As long as you have  3 mares -- NO MORE OR NO LESS in your "Power of Three" group, you are eligible for the $1100 per mare rate.

2)  What if I have 3 mares of my own that I want to breed--can I make my own "Power of Three" breeding?

    Absolutely!!  All it takes is 3 mares to qualify for this breeding--you can have 1, 2 or 3 mares of your own to breed and each mare gets the $1100 rate as long as there are 3 in your circle.   You may also have 2 mares of your own and have one other friend that joins your group. You may have NO more than 3 mares in your group to get this rate. 

3)  Can my "Power of Three" breeding have more than 3 in it?

    NOPE--NOT THIS YEAR   You can ONLY have 3 in your group UNLESS all of the papers have the SAME OWNERS listed on each set of papers---the same owner on papers may breed 3 or more mares for the discounted rate. 

4)  Do all of the contracts have to be sent in together?

  Nope!   You can send in your contract separately but make sure you identify yourself with the Power of Three and your 2 other friends in your group MUST BE LISTED ON THE CONTRACT---don't forget you MUST have a total of 3 mares to get the "Power of Three" breeding discount.

5)  Does the $1100 breeding fee include the chute fee?

    Absolutely!!!   The fee is broken down as $600 breeding fee/$500 chute fee.  THE TOTAL FEE MUST BE PAID IN FULL ALL AT ONE TIME.

6)  What else will I need to pay other than my breeding fee?

    You will have a shipped semen fee of $295 for Fed Ex or $350 if we fly it the same day to you.  That's it!  No hidden charges!!  No collection fees, no container deposits, nada, zip, zero---just your shipping fees are extra. 

7)  I bought a Stallion Service Auction breeding.  Can I use that breeding to count as one and breed two more mares?

     Nope--All Breedings in the "Power Of Three" discounted rate must be paid to Knights End Performance Horses, Inc. at the rate of $1100 each and there MUST be '3' $1100 breedings in the group to get this rate. 

8)  Are there any differences in a "Power of Three" Breeding and in a full priced breeding?

    No.  Once again, this year you are only guaranteed ONE concentrated dose of semen per shipment.  Your vet may chose to cut the dose upon arrival and breed on two separate days but we only guarantee to send ONE dose unless we have extra available on a certain shipping day.  Any extra doses will be shipped based on who ordered the shipment first.  We have found repeatedly that either 1) veterinarians put both doses in the mare the same day or 2) the second dose is left in the box or is poured down the drain unused.  As most of our past breeders know, AGM's semen lasts a long time and the best place for the semen in IN THE MARE, not in the box---we'd like for all the cells to be used, therefore we will send only ONE concentrated dose per shipment this year.

   8)  I've bred to AGM in the past---do you have any specials for me?

    If you have bred to AGM in the past THREE years, your "Power of Three" Breeding Fee is $1000/mare.   All breeders in your group of 3 MUST be previous breeders to get this low rate.

  9) Are European Breeders eligible for a discounted rate?

    Yes!  The discounted "Power Of Three" fee for European Breeders is $1500/mare.  The reason for the difference in price is the cost of preparing/shipping the Frozen Semen to Europe.

 10) Can you help me find other breeders to link together with to get the discounted rate?  I'm new to the business and don't know anyone.

Yes!  Email me your name/contact info and I'll put your name on our web site where other breeders can contact you.  Just let me know ASAP as soon as you've found 3 others so I can take your name off the list.

 11) I don't want to mess with getting a group of three together.  Do you have any discounts for me?

    Yes!  Until 2/28/10, we offer a breeding fee of $1250(includes chute fee) and the total fee paid in full by 2/28/10.

 
Now is the time to breed---prices won't ever be lower than they are today.  In a couple of years when our economy has recovered (and we all know that it will recover), those that chose to breed this year will be the ones that profit the most.  A Good Machine is a very versatile AQHA & APHA World Champion & Reserve World Champion sire in events such as Western Pleasure, Western Riding, Trail, Hunter Under Saddle and Performance Halter.  As you know, they have great minds, great movement and are well liked by the trainers.  If you have one for sale, let me know and we'll list it on our web site for free.
